Chairman's Listening Tour: Colfax County Spring Meet-Up, Raton, NM
The Democratic Party of Colfax County (DPCC) in conjunction with the Democratic Party of New Mexico (DPNM) hosted a Spring Meet-Up for Party members and local activists on Saturday May 26th, 2007.

DPNM Chairman Brian Colón stopped by Raton as he visited Taos, Las Vegas, and Mora on Memorial Day Weekend. The weekend of visits was part of the DPNM’s statewide Chairmen's Listening Tour, which will be visiting every one of New Mexico's 33 counties.

New Mexico will host a Presidential Caucus on February 5th, 2008. The DPNM will be charged with organizing the statewide election and will need to rely on the volunteer efforts of each of the county Democratic Party organizations. The Chairmen's Listening Tour will be Chairman Colón’s first effort to reach out to the counties and develop working relationships with active Democrats across the state.

Garcia and Colón will co-hosted the Spring Meet-Up and they recognized former Colfax county Chairmen Gene Sisneros who held the Chair position for 25 years as well as a handful of Party officials and activists.

“We want to take an opportunity to show appreciation for the great Democrats of Colfax county who are the back bone of our New Mexico politics”, said newly-elected State Chairman Brian Colón.
